On 8th June 2004 HM Bark Endeavour sailed out of Whitby at 6:00 (GMT) to observe the Transit of Venus across the sun. I missed the arrival back but got a shot of someone observing the transit of Venus using a telescope to project the image of the Sun. Venus is the dot in the bottom left of Transit.jpg
